The summer real estate market has taken off with great activity, and we are seeing more inventory across all price points. Brokers are in agreement that the market is not as frenzied as it once was, however, demand still remains strong. Properties are going under contract (albeit at a slower rate) and selling in all price ranges and in many neighborhoods throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Most properties are receiving showings and interest, but buyers are taking their time. The end of September will be telling as to how the market pans out.
For the first time in the last four years, we are seeing price adjustments across the board if properties are not well-priced for the market. Summer remains our prime selling season and the reality is that time is short before the late fall off-season arrives. Now is the best time for sellers to capitalize on a potential sale with many interested buyers here to look. Buyers like to experience the glorious summer season, and the ability to see properties without snow.
